I've mostly enjoyed it, but many aspects take me out of it. It's also not better than the original animated series, so the whole thing feels unnecessary. This is in contrast to X-Men '97, which really took the original series to a new level in pretty much every respect without undoing or redoing a whit of it.

X-Men '97 set a high bar and a whole new standard, and while I liked this show overall, it definitely didn't reach that bar.

It is good but not great. Of course, I binge all of it.

It is an intriguing and thought-provoking series that strikes a chord with its fresh take on Batman’s 1939 roots. The reimagining of classic villains and the engaging noir aesthetic connects with the essence of the character. It is a compelling watch that perfectly balances the old with the new—a great piece of writing.

Thanks for the heads-up on this series! First episode was good, and the changes in character visuals give it a fresh view, while leaving The Batman at his core.

I've really enjoyed the series (not finished yet) but have loved the style and story being told. The setting works well, and there is plenty to work with in different ways.
