"In another, we have the wacky antics of a super-powered dog."

Not fair, man: I write about a super-powered dog, and she ain't "wacky": https://davidperlmutter.substack.com/p/a-terrible-thing-to-waste; https://davidperlmutter.substack.com/p/who-will-the-next-fool-be

Yours may not be. Krypto, however, is here mostly for comedy and marketing purposes (and the dog is amusing at times).

No disparagement of super-powered dogs intended!

Thank you. K-dog always deserves better and they don't give it to him.

Interesting - the movie sounds like a good time!

It will be interesting to compare this to My Adventures with Superman, another recent new interpretation of the mythos!

I only watched a couple of episodes of that cartoon -- a bit too anime for my tastes, but I appreciate the positive take on Superman. The characters seemed much younger in that cartoon compared to this movie (from the little I saw of the cartoon, anyway).

Lol, that's fair - from what I remember hearing, the creators were heavily inspired by shonen battle anime/manga. In particular, Dragon Ball. 😆

So, definitely would not be to everyone's tastes!

Yeah, I think in the cartoon, they just barely got out of college - whereas in this movie, from what you said, it seems like they're several years as working adults?

Ah, I see.

To pull it back to the actual movie 😅 - thanks for the review, always interesting to read your thoughts on these! And I'll have to catch the movie when it makes its way to streaming/digital!
