I like that it was both a self-contained story and left enough room for a season 2 if the Disney Overlords see fit. Plus, it was just a lot of fun which has been lacking from Star Wars lately.
I'm glad they resisted the temptation for any cliffhanger ending. Would have been awkward to pick up two minutes later with the kids all suddenly half a head taller.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure whenever the last season of Stranger Things finally gets released, the kids will be in their mid-30s.
I did see an interview with the skeleton crew show runners where they said there’s an idea for season 2 which would involve moving the timeline up to avoid the stranger things problem.

At this point, the final season of Stranger Things could basically be SNL's Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles sketch. (But I'll still watch it.)
