It almost seems like a prelude to what the movie "The Incredibles" would be like- they dealt with similar themes as well as a similar past time period...
There's some overlap, but very different tones. This comic doesn't have the hard R-rating that Watchmen has, but The Incredibles is much more family-friendly.
